'My work is an investigation along the fine line between form and function. I create pieces that are combination's of thrown and hand built objects that when put together inform or tell part of a story.   Observation(s) of everyday life has always been my starting point.  My most recent work combines references to the dress, food, drink, customs, body decorations and old wives tales of courtship and weddings from different times and cultures leading to a visual narration of Wedding Stories form around the world.'

This Fine balance between form and function continues to be a major concern in Lisa Krigel's work.   Stretching and developing the form inevitably challenges the function creating an ever-present tension.  However this particular tension does not detract from the evident playful nature inherent in the many collections that often teeter on the kitsch.
