As project manager and
Development Officer, I was responsible for the general running of the workshop
including the writing of funding applications, hiring staff, purchasing
materials and equipment, keeping accounts, and organising various projects
within the local schools and community. I was a liaison between the management
committee and various outside organisations including the neighbourhood
learning centre, and Merthyr council.
Artist in Residence/Tutor, 1999-2004
Gurnos Community Workshop,

As ceramic artist in
residence and tutor, I was responsible for teaching throwing and hand-building
techniques to local community members.
I was also responsible for running the ceramics studio, including the
purchasing of materials, organising taster sessions at other venues in the
community and developing the Gurnos Community Ceramics workshop as a
constituted voluntary organisation
